Our Tutors are leaders. They’re helping to shape the future of New Zealand’s Police and Defence Force. When you join our team of Tutors, you’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative team of frontline experts who are proud to be inspiring the next generation of Police and Defence Force Personnel.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Provide students with an innovative, motivational, supportive, and high-quality learning experience
• Demonstrate engaging and effective methods of course delivery, and participate in the development, review, and moderation of course materials, and curriculum and assessment design, to enable graduate outcomes to be met and evidenced
• Collaborate with colleagues and undertake personal self-assessment, evaluation, and review to maintain currency and relevancy of resource materials
• Adopt appropriate modes of delivery to best suit the needs of the learners
• Participate actively in consistency review events and collate the necessary evidence to ensure positive outcomes at these events
• Timely and accurate maintenance of student records and performance including attendance records, assessment results, progress reports, course outlines, moderation plans, referrals, and records in the SMS

ABOUT YOU:

As well as an unwavering focus on empowering and inspiring your students, you’ll bring the following to the role:

• Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to perform effectively under busy conditions to meet deadlines
• A high level of accuracy, excellent coordination and organisational skills and attention to details
• A high level of patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity towards students
• Diploma/Tertiary degree, preferably in a relevant discipline
